APROXITY is built so that an object can speak for you without giving you away. This page describes what the product actually does with data today.
What visitors see
Only the fields an owner explicitly marks public. Every field starts hidden. An owner's email address and phone number are never shown on a public page — messages are relayed through APROXITY instead.
What we store about visitors
- The action a visitor chose, an optional message, and an optional reply contact they chose to give.
- A salted, one-way hash of the visitor's IP address, used only for rate limiting, duplicate suppression and owner blocking. The raw IP address is not stored.
- An anonymous scan count per object, including whether it was opened via NFC, QR or a direct link.
Visitors never need an account.
What we store about owners
- Account email, optional name, and a hashed password.
- The objects you own, what you publish on them, and the messages they receive.
- Orders, including the shipping details given at checkout.
Processors
Payments are handled by Stripe; card details never reach APROXITY. Transactional email is sent through an email provider. The final list of processors and hosting locations will be listed here before launch.
Your rights
You can export or correct your data by contacting support, and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your objects' public pages and messages; order records are kept as required for accounting.
